Description
Angola remains one of the poorer Africa countries, following a 27-year civil war that ended in 2002. With its rich crude reserves, however, the country is also one of Africa’s biggest oil producers. Most of the country’s GDP comes from oil production, though subsistence agriculture provides the main employment. Angola has recently benefited from a series of foreign loans to help rebuild its public infrastructure, which was heavily damaged during the civil war.
