MARCH 2011 ISSUE 26
Until recently, private equity firms gave Africa’s agriculture sector a wide berth, put off by the uncontrollable risks of bad climate and natural disasters. Several big funds have been launched and over 40 others plan to invest an estimated $2-billion in the next three to five years. In this issue TradeInvestAfrica explores recent developments in agriculture. We also look at Kenya’s geothermal industry and its potential to spur economic growth in East Africa.
