


Ethiopia signed French manufacturer Vergnet to build a $300 million wind farm, the largest such project in Africa.
The wind farm expected to churn 120 megawatts within two and a half years will help fill the gap by hydrological risks caused by droughts.
Ethiopia has been perennially hit by drought, crippling its electricity production which relies heavily on hydroelectric dams, as well as affecting the lives of its citizens.
The Horn of Africa country is currently experiencing a severe drought which has caused severe power cuts in recent months.
