Gabon will seek tenders to provide third-generation mobile phone services in the country, according to the ministry of communications.

The tender will take place in September.

Companies that currently provide mobile-phone services in Gabon include Zain Africa, Moov, which is the African unit of Emirates Telecommunications Corp., and Bahrain-based Bintel.
