Kenya will get an injection of $166-million (12.5-billion Shillings) from the African Development Bank (AfDB) in order to build a major road, connecting the east African country with its neighbour, Ethiopia.
The new road will be 123km long and will not only open up Kenya’s previously remote regions in the north but also encourage more trade between the two countries.
This loan follows the recently announced infrastructure loans by the AfDB in South Africa and Tanzania.
