Rwanda's government named a top treasury official, John Rwangombwa, as the east African nation's new finance minister on Thursday as part of a cabinet reshuffle.
Rwangombwa, who was the ministry's permanent secretary, replaces James Musoni as finance and economic planning minister, officials said. Musoni becomes minister for local government.
The other high profile move in the reshuffle was the appointment of Louise Mushikwabo from the information ministry to replace Rosemary Museminali as foreign minister. No one was immediately named to fill Mushikwabo's former position.
