Blue Financial Services plans to expand in four more districts in Uganda by the end of 2009.

“We are working on our expansion plan to add on our existing nine-networked branches and 30 liaison offices,” says country manager Tony Henderson.

The South African micro-financier has a client base of more than 22,000 customers in Uganda where it has operated for four years.

Blue provides small and medium loans to private as well as under-banked civil servants in 14 African countries.

“Uganda’s business environment has been supportive of our operations,” says Henderson.
