China is looking for infrastructure projects to finance in Africa as part of its initiative to support emerging businesses in Africa, reports Business Day.
The China-Africa Development Fund is intended to facilitate co-operation between Chinese and African entrepreneurs. The fund has financed more than 20 investments in Africa since its establishment in 2007.
Due to difficulties surrounding the lack of essential infrastructure impacting on the fund’s ability to operate, it is looking to support regional infrastructure projects such as telecommunications networks, electricity transmission, and road and rail networks.
