African finance ministers will be meeting in Egypt from June 6 to find ways to deal with the global financial crisis.
They will explore best measures, with the aim of arriving at a response which countries will then adopt to weather the crisis.
The ministers will also adopt a joint African position on other economic issues, such as the ongoing reform of the international financial architecture.
The Ethiopia based UN Economic Commission for Africa, ECA, was quoted in this story saying a common policy position would be adopted at the end of the meeting to serve as a basis for action in meeting the challenge of mobilizing resources for Africa’s development.
