MTN Uganda is to spend $135m expanding its network this year, says chief executive Noel Meier.
The cell phone services provider spent $173m last year on expansion projects across the country.
Meier was speaking to journalists in Kampala last week during the commissioning of the seventh customer service centre in the country.
MTN which celebrated 10 years of operation recently, has over four million customers.
“What is of concern is the plan to regulate tariffs, especially inter-network call pricing, which will have a considerable effect on our financial growth and more importantly, returns to investors,” said Meier.
