Location: Kampala
Summary: Reco Industries Ltd. intends to expand its food processing plant and is seeking the following:
• Quality technology for producing juice concentrate with an aroma recovery evaporator (spray drying plant for fruits powder, distillation column and an aseptic flush freezer)
• Installation of machinery for papain plant (a lyopholizer for freezer drying, basket centrifuge – 1600rpm and chromatography column)
• A water treatment plant with sludge tanks and pH controls.
Investment cost: US$4.7-million
Company profile: Reco Industries Ltd is a food processor and papain enzyme producer. The company produces fresh fruit juices, juice concentrates, jams, marmalades, chillies and tomato sauce.
Its packing plant is
located near a railway terminal and close to an airport, which enables quick delivery of produce to export markets. Reco works closely with the National Agricultural Research Organisation to develop quality products.
