Demand for prefabricated buildings is projected to grow, in tandem with the development of infrastructure, mining and other sectors of the Ethiopian economy. Investors are welcome to establish plant to manufacture prefab buildings.

Summary: The project involves the establishment of a plant to produce prefabricated buildings. The present demand for the prefabricated buildings is estimated at 12 133 tonnes per annum and is expected to reach at 37 745 tonnes by the year 2018. The plant will facilitate faster and more efficient construction of homes for the lower end market. Local production is not meeting current demand; hence prefabricated buildings are mostly imported. Demand is projected to continue growing in tandem with the development of infrastructure, agriculture, mining and other sectors of the economy.
